SEBHEL AUSTRALIA / NZ

 

A collective of Lebanese Maronite immigrants, first, second & third generation Australians with the majority migrating between the late 1940’s through to the 1970’s although some date back to the turn of the century.

 

The Sebhel Community numbers approximately 2,000 people in Australia / New Zealand. 

We also reach via our newsletters & social media thousands more throughout USA, Sth America, Sth Africa and Lebanon.

 

The majority are based in the Sydney region, with communities also established in Victoria and Queensland in Australia and Wellington in New Zealand

 

The community formed the Charity in 1962 and incorporated in 1978.

 

The purpose of the Charity is to help the needy of our village in Lebanon and assist in providing basic needs such as fresh water, electricity and sponsor youth activities.

 

In Australia, we undertake to raise money for worthy causes such as The Exodus Foundation, The Cancer Foundation and various other causes of the day.

 

Also, we have established a social element to cement the community in our region via:
